Transition Two
We have been busily packing and driving things up to the cottage this weekend. It is also the first time that it is beginning to sink-in that we will not be living in Milwaukee anymore. I am not sure that moving out of the country is sinking in yet, but at least not living in Milwaukee is beginning to sink-in. It's interesting that the sinking-in period is happening in these little steps.
The line-up for today is:
- Go pick up our last bits of mail at my mom's house and have coffee with her.
- Move our boxes and suitcases out to Tommy's house to store for the drive to the airport in two weeks.
- Pack up the suitcase for the cottage.
- Finish cleaning here at the apartment.
- Sell the truck. (It sold!)
- Say goodbye to the East Side and Lake Michigan.
- Drive to the cottage!
It will be nice to get to the cottage because almost all of the preparation work will be completed for the move and we will get to relax with friends and family for our last two weeks! Maybe I'll try to catch a musky before we leave!
